Kellie Martin is an American actor and actress on television and film. She is best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston on the historical drama series "Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series "ER". Kellie Martin is best known for her performance as a protagonist of the Hailey Dean Mystery Series. Born to a department store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin started her career in acting when she was just seven years old when her aunt who served as an nanny to Michael Landon's children helped her land an appearance in the 1982 show "Father Murphy". After her graduation of Yale University, she took acting more seriously, and eventually landed important roles on the small and the large screen. Martin, in addition to being an accomplished dancer and actress, is also a successful ballet photographer. She is a mother of two. Martin is the spokesperson for the nation for Lupus and has been informing people about the illness since her sister died from it at just 19.
